anyone regularly using the Barrett bore cleaner? I notice it says to use a nylon brush, and nowhere does it mention copper cleaning brushes.

Simple, actually. Get used to using a good quality nylon brush. Works better, especially with the newer (improved) cleaning supplies and methods. Just because it was good enough for "Chesty" doesn't mean it's still the best way (meaning copper brushes). Cleaning weapons (in the military), is quite different than the way it's done by precision shooters - IMO.

+1 on that, nylon is all that I use.

I just purchased a bottle of Barrett Heavy Bore cleaner and used it for the first time recently. It seems to work pretty well. Not much smell. It's kinda goopy and needs to be washed off of your hands pretty soon. It stings a little....

I have tried finding nylon brushes in .338 but so far no joy. Any suggestions?

thanks!

Midway has em.... Montana X-treme (here is the link):

Also they carry Tipton (here is the link):

I order from Midway a lot - aside from the fact they carry most everything you'd need, they ship almost immediately.
