When I was in Montana, I heard the best recipe for antelope:
.) field dress the antelope
.)wrap the antelope in tin foil -whole- with butter, garlic, salt and pepper, and liquid smoke
.)start a fire and bury some hot coals with sand
.)place the tinfoil wrapped antelope in the hot sand and cook all day long, approximately 8 hours of slowcooking over the hot coals.
.)unwrap the antelope and throw it away, then pour the drippings into the sand and eat the sand...lol it was a little old man who was telling us the "recipe"....it was funnier with him telling it because there were many more details than what I am remembering here and he was just plain funny to begin with!!
