I personally think we are way over our heads in political and otherwise correctness. Having a filter cleaning up your language after the fact is only a patch on a deeper problem and it cannot be a complete solution in any case because language is not stable. I just learned that if I call someone in some neighborhood a "sick ***" is a really good compliment for his work (dance in this case). Why would you bleep that?
The true solution is that you don't use the language in conversation unless you mean it and then it should be heard and you shall face the consequences. How can society learn if it is in a bubble wrap?
You do have the freedom of speech and with it you have the responsibility to use it correctly or face the consequences that might arise from your statement.
On the other hand: whoever listens to somebody else’s opinion - lighten up, use the speech as a evaluation of the speaker and his/her intentions.
