Welcome. You are going to enjoy the .416 on the range, but it takes a little more commitment if you plan to hunt with it. The bullet on the standard round doesn't lend itself to hunting, but there are .416 bullets from other sources that should work well if you are willing to develop your own loads. Just remember to drop the pressure and velocity down to prevent deflagration of the softer bullets. Then you can develop your own BORS file for your hunting round. And don't scrimp on the bore cleaning with the leaded bullets, even if they are jacketed!
Personally, i find the 99-.416 a bit too cumbersome to carry on a hunt, but the advantage is that you can let the projectile make the hike for you. Keep us posted on what you come up with.
