I am new and very interested in buying a Barrett 50 Cal.
I am looking at and considering the Model 99.

I would appreciate any information one would like to share with me about this purchase.

1. Is there a good market to buy used? And where?
2. If buying new, is there a place that has the best price?
3. Are there places to buy a 'package deal' with a scope?
4. Should I buy the rifle first then worry about a scope?

I would appreciate any recommendations or help here.

There is a market for used weapons, the internet is a good place to start.
First take a look at the main page of the forum, under THE MARKETPLACE.
There are usually several firearms for sale there.

As for buying new guns, the two main vendors that people speak highly of on here are:

Both of these dealers offfer package prices with all the accessories. I think it is usually better to buy a package deal, as the price is usually better and you don’t have to worry later on about getting the right accessories.
