New 1911!!!

Just picked my Kimber Ultra Covert II. Put 200 rounds through it today and love it. Also when I was picking up the gun @ the gun shop a guy was trying to sell some .50 BMG rounds to the store. The store would not buy it so I caught him on the way out and picked up 190 rounds for $450. 40 AP and 150 ball. A good day for me!!!!

I like your Kimber, that is sweeeet.
I just got a basic Pro Carry II. I loaded up 200 rds last week of some of the free Hornady 200gr XTP HP's
Had a little feeding problem with them on my old Springfield Armory 1911A1 but the Kimber functioned flawlessly. The load was 5.4gr of TiteGroup and WLP primers. A little snappy with the light 4" but not uncontrollable.

Nice Pistol. Gotta love those 1911's. My C&C is a Springfield 1911 Loaded Micro Compact. It hides well.
I just picked up a Springfield Loaded Long Slide (6 inch Barrel). I really like it. Just a bit to big for me to Conceal unless I wear a Trench Coat and if I am going to do that I might as well carry a S&W Model 29-2. I am going to try a couple of Kimbers Wednesday night at my local Range. Need to build on the 1911 end of my Gun Collection.
How is the Kimber for tear down and cleaning?

I have the Pro Covert for a few years and it's light weight really make it a joy to carry.
Your 3.5" Ultra is even better for carry.
The laser can become blocked by slide oil if it's oiled heavily but that's the only complaint I have had.
PS the 185gr shoot better then the 230gr in the ultra series my experience.

Thanks flyjets I will try the 185g. I have about 600 rounds through it and no hick-ups yet. I LOVE THIS GUN!!! I ALSO LOVE MY BARRETT, cant forget about that gun....LOL

The only thing about Kimber Ultra's is you have to use a small "L" shaped spring capture tool to fully disassemble the gun. But after a few times cleaning the gun I got it down.

I love that Gun, BUT tommorow my wife & I have to go down to my faverate ClassIII dealer to fill out the paper work for our new Supressor for our Model 99. & my new scope & bors system comes in next week also. BUT one day I'll get a new CCW handgun. for now my Ruger P90 will have to do.

better look into supressin the 99 i think you hav to modify the rifle

Good choice. I have the Ultra Covert and the Custom Covert...I am a HUGE Kimber fan. Well done. for the money you could not have done better IMHO
