While my Dad and I were in the store shopping for a scope for his Tactical Remington 700, the Leupold Scopes in the display case were very difficult to impossible to ID.
You can't tell what power the scopes are unless they have the specs on the gold ring, or they're close to the edge where you can see the power adjustment.
May I recommend you guys either set the scopes on their boxes with the prices and specs showing on the front, or make a small flash card with specs and price in front of each scope?
Also, in the Leupold scopes, I didn't see the selection I'd like. It seemed like everything in there only went up to a 14x.
I was looking for a Leupold Mark 4 ER/T 8.5-25x50mm (30mm) M5 with either an H58 reticle or TMR. To decide on what reticle, I wanted to look through them to see if my poor eye sight could actually read the marks on the H58.
Anyway, my Dad picked up a new Leupold scope and I got some Barrett 30mm ZG ultra high scope rings for my 50 BMG. So it still went well and we like the store!
