Come on Barrett! I'm going on a serious back country hunting trip in less than a month and according to this recall I am at risk of personal injury if I use this weapon, YET I HAVE NOT HEARD A WORD FROM YOU (aside from being told when I called that you have my info and will "let me know") since I signed up to ship it back over a month ago. Let me clue you in on some business ethics, when you announce a recall like this and either imply or state there is a potential for injury, you ensure that you have the means to rectify the deficiency as soon as possible once you send out notification that your customers should stop using your product. The effort appears half-**sed and P**s poor with no status updates or communication whatsoever. I have been back to this website a hundred times looking for an update.
Yes, I understand that your bread and butter is your military contracts and believe me, I would rather see our troops get your full attention and best efforts first and foremost however, I believe we are talking about less than 500 rifles here and the fix sounds pretty simple. Logistically a challenge for sure, but coming from a company such as Barrett I would have expected more. You are within 3 1/2 weeks of screwing up a trip that I planned over a year ago and purchased this rifle specifically for.I've spent a ton of dough on the drag bag, the custom loads, the BORS system, and countless hours at the range. Not to mention the money and time spent on the prep for this 14 day hike into the back country of Montana and now I have serious doubts about my equipment. This has the potential to force a contingency to a backup rifle and screw up my entire trip and all because you don't have your s**t together. Unacceptable gentlemen!
