Not good enough. It's not as bad as the Universal Camouflage Pattern the Army is using now, but it isn't as good as MultiCam either. Take a look at the helmet in the photo. Does it stand out? You bet it does! Too much charcoal gray in one place. Those dark streaks are remeniscent of "tiger stripe"; which was a "cool" camo pattern, but not very effective outside of think-canopied jungles.

It leaves a confirmed outline at the head and shoulders. I know were not talking about the sun glasses but if I was tring to sell it I would shed the glasses and paint his face. Don't get me wrong I like pink but not with that bone structure.

Me, personally? MultiCam. Hands down. It doesn't look as cool as this new A-TACS pattern (on a firearm, MultiCam looks downright stupid). But I believe it is more effective in a wider variety of environments. Effectiveness beats good looks in my book.

I am thinking about getting my Barrett M99 dipped in a camo pattern at a local shop and I have it narrowed down to Multicam and A-TACS.
I agree with you. Multicam only looks right on clothing and gear. NOT firearms.
A-TACS looks really good on firearms though. I am really leaning toward A-TACS due to the 'cool' factor. I know it sounds lame, I guess it's all about my own enjoyment and not so much about perfect concealment.

Hey! That's why we have 50's. We don't have to hide really good when we are shooting from 1000 yards. Right?
You could set up a card table to shoot from and they still wouldn't see you!
