mine was 1147.50, the "Minimum advertisable price" from Riley's sports shop in Hooksett NH. Took 10 weeks to the day.

Larue Tactical mount

Postby KJT1911 on Wed 04 Nov, 2009 5:45 pm

So I got the Larue Tactical Acog mount, what an awesome product, like the company says its the only way to fly. This thing is a vast improvement over the screw knobs, it locks in and I know it will never shoot loose and will come off in seconds.

On another note, what a great company. Larue Tactical gave me a very stylish hat which I was in need of, a CNC machined tactical beverage entry tool, 2 bumper stickers and a jar of spice rub...wtf...lifetime warranty and how cool can these guys get?

I agree, LaRue has great people, and great service.

How do the ACOG's work during rapid fire with the REC 7? Can you unload a whole mag on a target without losing it? I'm wondering the same thing about the Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T. I'm trying to decide what type of sights/optics to mount on my REC 7, any advice would be appreciated.

I don't know how steady the Rec7 is while looking through a magnified optic (I use an EOtech); but the ACOG was developed with the intention that users utilize the Bindon Aiming Concept (both eyes open). If you're doing this, you should be able to get back on target pretty quickly. Because the non-magnified image is superimposed on the magnified image in your vision (you're seeing both images at the same time while focusing at the image beyond the optic's reticle, which ensures that the POA is in the same spot for both eyes) it should be a simple thing to get back on target. If you haven't used BAC, it might seem a bit strange. But after you practice a bit, it becomes second-nature.

(I'm sorry if what I'm saying is hard to follow. I'm exhausted, so my ability to effectively communicate is severely impaired.)

I love my ACOG's! I wonder if their value will go up once they start producing them without John 8:12 in the serial number. I think it's a pretty creative play on words:

Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."
