Feedback on Federal (American Eagle) 660 Gr. FMJ 50 BMG

I'm still waiting for my Model 99 to arrive. I can't wait.

In the meantime, I'm looking to pick up some ammo.

Does anyone have any feedback on the Federal (American Eagle) 660 Gr. FMJ 50 BMG? It seems to be readily available and moderately priced.

havent shot any but i hear its not bad...its loaded in lake city brass....should be a good ammo
hope for the best prepare for the worst

I have shot a couple boxes of this stuff. I cant say it is any better than any other I have shot but it is loaded in good brass so that is a plus.

cant say im a fan of lake city brass but it works obviously

i just got 100 rounds of the stuff and hopfully if we go shoting this sunday i'll let you guys know how well it works or lack there of.

plan is still on as long as the forcast stays clear its supose to rain later in the day

I also have a local shop with several cases of the Federal 50 let me know how it shoots. I do like the price $37.50 per 10.

I have been shooting only Barrett 661gr but I have been getting some flyer I don't like that. So I'm going to try some other ammo in my M99.

You're getting a 99, so it'll take a lot longer to shoot up hundreds of rounds than with a semi. I'd suggest just spending more on ammo and get 750g AMAX-T Match Ammo. It shoots a lot better than the ball ammo and you'll get under 1MOA with it in your 99 (if you do your part).
